Glimpses of World Pharmacy Day 2026!
Students of Dasmesh College of Pharmacy actively participated in the one-day World Pharmacy Day 2026 celebration hosted by Punjabi University, Patiala, themed “Antimicrobial Resistance: Swasth Bharat” which provided students a great platform to spread awareness about antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through an awareness rally, present their scientific ideas in the poster presentation, express their creativity in the AMR-themed scitoon competition, and put their knowledge to the test in the pharma quiz.
It was wonderful to see them take part with such enthusiasm, creativity and a real sense of responsibility towards public health.
Our sincere thanks to Punjabi University, Patiala, for hosting this meaningful event and heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their active involvement and efforts.

Orientation Program 2026-27 at Dashmesh College of Pharmacy, Faridkot
Dasmesh College of Pharmacy, Faridkot organized an Orientation Program 2026-27 from 17th to 22nd August 2026, welcoming the new batches of B.Pharm, D.Pharm, and Pharm.D students. Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur (Principal, DCOP), Dr. Gursewak Singh (Director, DCOP), S. Swarnjit Singh Gill (Joint Director, DCOP), and Mr. Gursahib Singh Brar (HOD) extended a warm welcome to the students through inspiring speeches, offering guidance for the years ahead and acquainting them with the college’s curriculum, goals, and objectives. The program also featured eminent guest speakers who motivated and enlightened the students: Dr. Avinderpal Singh (Volunteer, NGO Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle) delivered a motivational address; Mr. Apurav Devgan (Principal, Dasmesh Public School, Faridkot), an accomplished educator, author, and motivational speaker, shared valuable insights; Mr. Abhishek Narula (Assistant Professor and Academic Administrator, Department of Pharmaceutics, PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana) guided students on the latest developments and future prospects of the pharmacy profession; and Dr. Mamta Bahetra (Faculty of Psychiatry, GGS Medical College, Faridkot) conducted an enlightening guest lecture on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The week-long program also included engaging extracurricular activities such as volleyball and badminton matches, a power dressing and high-impact presentation session, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) training conducted by Dasmesh College of Nursing, Faridkot — making the orientation a holistic and memorable experience for the incoming students.
