The faculty are highly qualified, keenly motivated and experienced. There are two labs in the department, one for Haematology and one for Experimental Physiology. Both are supplied with all the equipment as per the DCI requirements. In addition, there is facility to provide reference books for students. Lectures are taken in the state of the art lecture theatre. The faculty employ various teaching methodologies for benefit of students and are also involved in research and academic development. The students are taught by didactic lectures as well as using clinical practicals. The curriculum is according to the DCI syllabus as well as the required cellular physiology and systemic physiology related to the topic is also encompassed. Comprehensive revision classes are taken along with model exams set according to the University exam pattern. The faculty in the department are attuned to students’ learning needs and have many national and international publications. We conduct tutorials and viva periodically to assess the students. There is continuous high pass percentage and scoring of distinctions by the students in the subject in the University examinations.<\/p>\n
