[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_tabs active_tab_background_color=”#f8f8f8″ _builder_version=”4.4.8″ body_text_color=”#000000″ tab_line_height=”2.8em” hover_enabled=”0″][et_pb_tab title=”About the Department” _builder_version=”4.4.8″]The department of Periodontology was established in the year 1992 and recognized for MDS course in the year 2011.Department of Periodontology and Oral Implantology prides itself withan impressive infrastructure for both undergraduate and postgraduate training program, patient care and for research activities in the field of Periodontology. Clinical skills training in non-surgical and preventive periodontal procedures and opportunity to master a variety of periodontal surgical and implant procedures under the guidance of experienced faculty has been at the core of the department objectives.
\nLocation: It is well-ventilated sprawling space designated as department number 5 on the first floor of the main dental college building.
\nSub-sections: The department has separate undergraduate and post-graduate sections, minor operation theatre, donning and doffing area,UG &PG sterilization room, seminar room, HOD room, PG common room& patient counselling room.
\nMajor Equipments:The department has well equipped minor operation theatre comprising of the latest treatment modalities like Electrocautery, Diode Laser, Ultrasonic scalers, Dental Implant Surgery Kit,Centrifuge Machine, CGF Box system along with proper sterilization facilities like table-top automatic autoclave.
\nOther Facilities: Multimedia facilities like slide projector is available in the departmental seminar room to aid with audio-video mode with LCD projection.Integrated department library hascollection of 48 books, student library dissertations, main dissertation and seminars.[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=”Faculty” _builder_version=”4.4.8″ hover_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n
