Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics from 28th IOS PG Convention
Following are the details of 28th IOS PG CONVENTION 2025 held at Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad | Feb 20th-23rd, 2025:
The 28th IOS Postgraduate (PG) Convention themed “Digital Revolution with Sustainable Orthodontics” was organized at Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad from 20th-23rd February.
It was attended by 2nd and 3rd year post-graduate students of the department. The post-graduate students attended pre-convention course, also presented paper and posters in both competitive and non-competitive categories.

One Day Workshop on ‘POSH The Sexual Harassment Of Women At Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013’
Online One Day Workshop on ‘POSH The Sexual Harassment Of Women At Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013’ was conducted by Tech Trainers and Testers Pune, Govt of Maharashtra on 18th January, 2025. The workshop attended by Dr. Meenu Bhola (MDS, Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, DIRDS) provided an in-depth understanding and significance of the Act. The workshop aimed to empower the participants with knowledge about their rights and mechanisms in place to protect them, thereby promoting a culture of respect and safety at the workplace.
VITAL PULP THERAPY SYMPOSIUM 2025
All India institute of Research and Dental Sciences, Delhi successfully hosted the Vital Pulp Therapy International Symposium on 19th -21st February 2025 bringing together leading experts, researchers, and dental professionals to discuss advancements in preservation of dental pulp. The event attended by Dr. Tarun Kumar (Prof & Head), Dr. Vidushi (Asst. Prof) and post graduate students, Dr. Muskaan, Dr. Sonali Bansal and Dr. Keshav Singla of Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics highlighted the edge research, clinical techniques, and the future of vital pulp therapy in endodontics.
The symposium featured National and International keynote addresses from esteemed clinicians and academicians, who spoke on the latest techniques and materials revolutionizing pulp preservation. Another session emphasized the importance of minimally invasive endodontic procedures, stating, “Vital pulp therapy represents a paradigm shift in endodontics, preserving the natural tooth structure while ensuring long-term dental health. This symposium serves as a platform for innovation and collaboration in this evolving field.”
Participants from across the country, including postgraduate students, academicians, and practitioners, praised the symposium for its high-quality content and networking opportunities. Various papers on the same were presented by Dr. Vidushi, , Dr. Muskaan, Dr. Sonali Bansal and Dr. Keshav Singla.
VITAL PULP THERAPY SYMPOSIUM 2025
INTERNATIONAL VITAL PULP THERAPY SYMPOSIUM AND WORKSHOP
The International Vital Pulp Therapy Symposium and Workshop, titled “Saving the Saviour”, was organized by the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Centre for Dental Education and Research, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The event was held from 19th to 21st February 2025 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.
One Day Faculty Development Workshop
One Day Faculty Development Workshop on “Dental Education: Concepts and Methods” was conducted by Christian Dental College, Ludhiana on 25th February, 2025. Dr. Meenu Bhola (MDS, Professor and Head, Dept. of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, DIRDS) attended the workshop that aimed to enhance the teaching skills of dental educators by exploring innovative concepts and effective methods. Its purpose was to create an environment of continuous improvement enabling faculty to better engage students and improve the learning outcomes in the dental curriculum.
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
27th National Workshop, 2025 on Complications in Maxillofacial Surgery in association with AOMSI, MP STATE CHAPTER held from 19th-22nd February, 2025 where Dr. S.P.S Sodhi, (H.O.D and Professor), delivered a lecture on “Complications in Advanced Implant Surgery” and Dr. Gursimrat Kaur Brar, (Professor), delivered a lecture on “Complications in Third Molar Extraction”. Dr Parttyancha Bansal (PG 3rd year) & Dr Asmita Sharma (PG 3rd year) presented E- poster on ‘The Parapharyngeal space- A Critical Area for Diagnosis and Treatment’ and ‘Nercotizing Fascitis- a life threatening soft tissue infection.’
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
9th Annual Conference of Haryana State Chapter – Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India held on 1st March, 2025. Dr. S.P.S. Sodhi (Professor and Head, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) was the moderator for the panel discussion on ‘Odontogenic Infections.’ Dr. Ankita (PG 1st year ) presented E-poster on ‘Odontogenic Infections- Recognising and Managing Complications’ and Dr. Kashish Juneja (PG 1st year) presented E-poster on ‘Complications of Odontogenic Keratocyst: Beyond the Cyst’. Dr. Kashish Juneja secured third position for Post Graduate E-poster/paper presentation.
