World Endodontic Day Celebrated at Dasmesh Institute of Research & Dental Sciences, Faridkot
The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Dasmesh Institute of Research & Dental Sciences, Faridkot, under the guidance of our director, Dr. Gursevak Singh joint Director, S. Swarnjit Singh Gill and principal, Dr. M. K. Sunil, celebrated World Endodontic Day on 16 October with great enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to promoting oral health awareness, under the theme “Save a Tooth”.
The celebration featured a series of educational and creative activities aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of preserving natural teeth and maintaining good oral health.
Community Outreach: Oral health awareness talks were conducted at the Border Security Forces (BSF) Camp and Khalsa School, focusing on proper brushing techniques, cavity prevention, healthy eating habits, and the importance of saving natural teeth. A dental awareness camp was also organized at Khalsa Diwan Satellite Centre, offering free dental check-ups and treatment at subsidized rates.
Student Activities: Students participated enthusiastically in poster presentations and reel/meme-making activities to communicate the importance of endodontics in an engaging and creative manner. The interns also showcased their creativity by making beautiful rangoli designs inspired by the occasion.
Recognition and Appreciation: Winners of the poster presentation competition were felicitated with awards and certificates in recognition of their efforts and creativity. Certificates of participation were also presented to all participants as a token of appreciation for their enthusiastic involvement.
The celebration successfully combined education, community service, creativity, and student engagement, reinforcing the message that saving natural teeth is always worth it!
We extend our appreciation to the institute’s leadership, faculty members, students, interns, and everyone who contributed to making the celebration a success.
