WHO day was celebrated on 8/4/2026 under the guidance and supervision of principal Mrs. Bhupinder Kaur and vice principal Mr. Narendra Kumar Sumeriya. All Bsc and GNM students have participated enthusiastically in poster marking competition.

31st Free Health Check-Up Camp Organized in Memory of Late Gurpreet Singh Doad

In remembrance of the renowned personality Late Gurpreet Singh Doad, Dasmesh Dental College and Hospital, Faridkot, organized its 31st annual free health check-up camp on 6th and 7th April 2026. The camp was conducted as a part of the institution’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and public health awareness. Specialist doctors provided free check-ups and consultations for dental problems, general health issues, joint pain, and obesity-related conditions. This meaningful initiative reflects the college’s dedication to social responsibility, healthcare service, and honoring the legacy of Late Gurpreet Singh Doad.

DEPARTMENT OF PERIODONTOLOGY AND ORAL IMPLANTOLOGY

Under the esteemed guidance of our Director, Dr. Gursewak Singh, Joint Director, S. Swarnjit Singh Gill, Principal, Dr. M.K. Sunil, and Head of the Department of Periodontology, Dr. Nitin Khuller, a dental health camp was successfully organized by the Department of Periodontology at Gita Bhawan on Thursday, 2nd April 2026.

The team conducting the camp included postgraduate students Dr. Isha Gupta and Dr. Ishita Vij, along with interns Simardeep and Simranjot, who are currently posted in the Department of Periodontology.

This camp was organized under the aegis of Apna Ghar Ashram, with the support of its respected members, including Mr. Kewal Krishan Kataria (Pradhan), Mr. Varinder Vinayak (Secretary), Mr. Arun Kumar Gupta (Cashier), and permanent members Mr. Bhanot Bajaj, Mr. Ravinder Kali, and Mr. Rajesh Sharma.

The primary objective of this camp was to spread awareness about oral health among the underprivileged community. The initiative focused on educating individuals about the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventing common dental diseases.

During the camp, participants underwent basic dental check-ups and oral examinations. Special emphasis was placed on educating them about correct oral hygiene practices. The proper tooth-brushing technique was demonstrated, and attendees were guided on maintaining daily oral care habits to help prevent dental issues such as dental caries and periodontal diseases.

As part of the awareness drive, samples of toothbrushes and toothpaste were distributed among the participants to encourage healthy dental care habits. This dental health camp served as a meaningful step toward improving oral health awareness and providing preventive dental care to the underprivileged section of society.

Such initiatives play a significant role in promoting community oral health and motivating individuals to adopt and maintain healthy oral hygiene practices.

Cadaveric Oath Ceremony 2026

At Dasmesh Institutes, we believe that becoming a great doctor starts with humility. On February 24, 2026, our first-year BDS students participated in the Cadaveric Oath Ceremony, honoring the individuals who selflessly donated their bodies to science, our ‘silent teachers. ‘Under the patronage of Director Dr. Gursevak Singh and Joint Director S. Swarnjit Singh Gill, and presided over by Principal Dr. Tarun Kumar, the ceremony was led by Dr. Ajit Pal Singh (Head, Anatomy Dept.), who highlighted how this oath shapes compassionate caregivers.
We are proud of our students for embracing this sacred duty with such respect.

The Management, Principal andDr. Ramandeep Singh Brar, DeanAcademics (Prof & HOD), Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,congratulated Dr. Gursimrat Kaur Brar, Prof (OMFS)  being the key note speaker at 28th National Workshop on Cranio- Maxillofacial Trauma under the auspices of Indian Academy of Maxillofacial Surgery in collaboration with Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India M.P chapter and Prof. Moose Foundation under the theme of “Bridging Emergency and Definitive Trauma Management: Collaborative Interdisciplinary team Principles” at Jabalpur Hospital and Research center, Jabalpur, HitkariniDental College and Hospital , Dumna Jabalpur organized from Feb 5 – Feb 8, 2026.

The workshop was an enriching academic experience and provided a dynamic platform for in-depth learning, thoughtful discussions and hands-on refinement of surgical techniques.

It is a moment of pride that our third- year post graduate student Dr. Robin K Mathew has successfully secured second positionin PG Paper Presentation while our three post graduates Dr. Dipanshu Jain, Dr. Kashish Juneja and Dr. AnkitaParmaarparticipated in paper and poster presentations respectively.
